Highlights from the november 2025 CLOAF Conference

We had a fantastic turnout for our General Membership Conference this past November! It was great to see so many familiar faces and welcome new members.

For those who couldn't make it (or just want to relive the experience), here is a look back at what we covered.

Tackling Industry Challenges

This year's agenda focused heavily on the evolving landscape of construction licensing. We kicked off Thursday with critical sessions on Private Providers and navigated the complexities of dealing with Sovereign Citizens—a topic that sparked a lot of conversation.

We also dove into the technical side of things, reviewing the latest legislation regarding Roofers and clarifying Pool and Spa Contractor scopes.

Mental Health & Safety

One of the most impactful sessions was our deep dive into Mental Health and De-Escalation. As officials, we often deal with high-stress situations, and having the tools to manage these interactions is invaluable for our safety and well-being.

Looking to the Future

We wrapped up on Friday with an open forum on the Future of Contractor Licensing. The insights shared by members from different jurisdictions were incredibly valuable as we look at where our industry is heading in 2026.

Thank You!

A huge thank you to our Board and Committee members who met on Wednesday to prepare, and to everyone who traveled to Altamonte Springs. We are already looking forward to the next one!
